That said, if you get truly stuck on an event, feel free to move on. It is highly advised to win most of the events to make your life easier in collecting Dirt Dollars and XP. The career mode gives you a bit of choice as to your path through each chapter but ultimately you need to complete (finish, not necessarily win) every event to get the Platinum.
